About this speaker
Judy Lariviere, M.Ed., OTR/L is an Assistive Technology Specialist and Occupational Therapist with a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology, focusing on Special Education, who has worked in the Assistive Technology field, including augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), for over 32 years.
Judy has a private practice through Assistive Tech 4 ALL, Inc. She is also the Communication Specialist at Katie’s Clinic for Rett syndrome and Related Disorders at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland in the US.
Over the past 24 years, Judy has worked with many individuals who have Rett syndrome, CDKL5 deficiency disorder, FOXG1, and MECP2 duplication syndrome, identified their best means of access to technology for communication and literacy learning, and implemented tools and strategies to support their progress in these areas.
Judy has created several eye gaze technology-based page sets for sensory regulation, conversation, independent access to music/video players, text messaging, and in-person and remote connections with family and friends.
