Founder, AAC Adventurers B.A. (Hons); 2019 winner of the Shine a Light Outstanding Achievement Award and Communication Champion of the Year.

About this speaker

Jules is an empowering mum to Charlie, 12, an AAC user of 8 years. Charlie is clinically diagnosed with Angelman syndrome and Cerebral Vision Impairment (CVI).

A passionate advocate for autonomous communication for all, Jules has shared her AAC journey through presenting at numerous conferences including Communication Matters (ISAAC UK), De Montfort University SLT course, and Angelman UK.

Jules has created many bespoke PODD communication books for children and adults and has hosted several courses to support families and professionals gain access to AAC training.

Jules is the founder of AAC Adventurers, a social outing AAC group in Nottinghamshire, and is currently planning a magical Harry Potter inspired literacy and communication residential camp in 2021!

Jules is the 2019 winner of the Shine a Light Communication Champion of the Year and additionally awarded the overall 2019 winner of the Outstanding Achievement Award.
