With a background in teaching and conductive education, Laura is a lecturer in the School of Education at Edith Cowan University, Perth, Western Australia.
Laura teaches two of the Graduate Certificate in Education (Complex Communication Needs) units including the core unit “Being an effective communication partner”.
When not teaching, Laura advocates for children and adults with communication disability to access the supports they need to develop their communication, language and literacy skills as part of the Complex Communication Needs advocacy team at Developmental Disability WA and in her work as a communication facilitator with Microboards Australia.
