Wherever we are in our communication journey, there are barriers to overcome. This presentation examines different barriers that can affect our success with AAC. It explores reasons and potential solutions.
The presentation will explore topics such as why some of us find it hard to begin, when there is little interest from the AAC user or from anyone else who should be supporting the journey! What can we do when life gets in the way? Sometimes it can feel like we are trying but are unsure of our purpose. And of course there are times when it seems like we are making no progress at all. Mostly this presentation will help you realise that you are not alone in your journey and that we all experience difficulties on the road to autonomous communication.
